So I stopped drinking soda

Starting August 2nd I decided to stop drinking sodas like Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and Mountain Dew etc... altogether. I hardly drank it at home, but I used to drink at least 2 a day at work. Mostly due to the awesome taste of sugary goodness, but also because it was carbonated and was freely available at work. I initially started drinking diet colas only, but now I'm hearing about all the bad things diet sodas do to you to. Can't I just win?
I think so. As an alternative I am now drinking sparkling water.
So far so good. I can still let off soul comforting burps in my office from the carbonation, and not feel guilty about the extra calories. It is now day 2 and so far so good.
